A 10% administrative fee is retained to cover project setup, organisation, and scheduling.
After 14 days, the project is considered active and non-refundable.
Initial previews should be shared via a viewable link (Dropbox, Google Drive, unlisted YouTube, etc) so we can assess scope.
Once your project is confirmed, we’ll provide secure instructions for transferring full-resolution media and audio files.
Final masters are delivered via secure download link, with all agreed deliverables clearly organised and labelled.
If you’re unsure about formats or exports, we’ll guide you through it.
Preferred formats:
• H.264 or ProRes for video
• 1080p minimum for final delivery
Preview files can be smaller and compressed.
Preferred:
• WAV files
• 48kHz / 24-bit
• Separate stems if available (Dialogue, Music, FX)
If your project only has a single mixed audio track, that’s fine, we’ll work with what you have and advise accordingly.
Typical delivery includes:
• Stereo master (festival / streaming ready)
• DME stems
• Optional platform-specific LUFS masters
• Optional surround files
Custom delivery specs can be accommodated.
Yes. All projects must be picture-locked before sound design begins.
If new edits are supplied after work starts, additional fees may apply and will count as a revision.
We can improve audio to a point, but some recordings have physical limits.
If dialogue is unusable, we may recommend:
• ADR
• Alternative takes
• Creative sound solutions
We’ll always be honest about what’s achievable before moving forward.
Turnaround depends on:
• Project length
• Audio quality
• Package selected
• Scope of sound design
A realistic timeframe will be provided once we review your project.
Feature projects include five revisions unless otherwise agreed. Commercial projects are scoped individually based on campaign needs. Additional revisions can be arranged if required.
A revision covers:
• Level adjustments
• Balance tweaks
• Timing refinements
• Minor music or FX changes
Revisions do not include:
• New picture edits
• Complete re-scores
• Major structural changes
All feature projects are built cinematically in 5.1 during production.
Delivery options include stereo masters, DME stems, and optional true 5.1 surround files depending on your requirements.
If music is integrated or sourced:
• All relevant licenses are provided
• Music is licensed for use within your project
Original music remains the intellectual property of Hatiwave Studios unless a buy-out is agreed separately.
We temporarily store files to complete your project.
Once delivery is complete:
• Clients are responsible for backing up their files
• We do not offer long-term archival storage
Absolutely.
We regularly work with:
• Students
• Proof-of-concept projects
• Indie filmmakers at early stages
Good sound shouldn’t be out of reach.
Yes.
If your project doesn’t fall into Feature or Commercial categories — such as trailers, podcasts, restoration, or bespoke composition — simply use the general enquiry form and tell us what you’re working on.
